Secure your Luma

Create the password you'll use to open Luma on your home network. No registration required.

Use at least 12 characters for your password.

Use a strong password. Luma should remain accessible only on your trusted home network.

Find your movies & series

Luma scans your selected Synology media locations, recognizes video filenames, and groups movies and television episodes.

Only your three chosen media foldersEmby, Emby Media and your home/Downloads. Barkisu and other folders are excluded.

The video files stay untouchedMP4, MKV, M4V, MOV, AVI and more are recognized. Your files are never renamed or moved.

If File Station shows home/Downloads but Luma cannot locate it, check your actual homes/USER/Downloads path in Container Manager.

Make it cinematic

Add a free TMDB API key to automatically fetch posters, descriptions and genres. This step is optional.

Get a key from themoviedb.org/settings/api. Choose noncommercial use if eligible; follow TMDB's terms and attribution requirements.
